We've been
where you are.
Not a faceless agency. A small team with deep roots in southern Spain and an unusual background — big-company tech, small business coaching, and international business at the highest level.
An unusual background
for an unusual market.
Before FoundSpace, I spent over a decade at Microsoft and five years in enterprise software — then fifteen years coaching small business owners through the things that actually matter: clarity, growth, and making the most of what you've got.
But the thread that runs through all of it is international business. I hold a Master's in International Management from Thunderbird — still ranked among the top international business schools in the world, now part of Arizona State University — a degree with three tracks I had to complete separately: business, Spanish language, and Latin American cultural and geopolitical studies. Part of that took me to the University of Guadalajara in Mexico, living with a local family for three months. Real immersion, not a classroom.
That background shapes everything about how FoundSpace operates. Understanding culture, language, and the gap between them isn't a nice-to-have in southern Spain — it's the whole job.
Hi, I'm Angus.
I run FoundSpace from our beachfront office in Mojácar — a place I've been coming to for over fifteen years, long before I put down roots here.
I work directly with every client. You won't get handed to a junior or left waiting for a callback. If something needs sorting, I'm the one who sorts it.
My background is an unusual mix: big-company tech, enterprise systems, and a decade and a half sitting across the table from small business owners helping them grow. That combination means I understand the tools, the business, and the people — and I've spent a career explaining one to the other in plain English.
I've built businesses across borders and managed teams across cultures. What I know from all of it is that trust is earned through showing up, speaking plainly, and doing what you say you'll do. That's the standard I hold FoundSpace to.
The team behind the work.
My co-founder runs DeskSpace and leads on client relationships, content strategy, and Facebook management. She has deep roots in the Mojácar expat community — she knows your customers personally, not just as a demographic.
Between us, we cover the full picture: the technical build, the content, the marketing, and the ongoing support. What we share is the same belief — that a business on the costas deserves the same quality of online presence as anyone in a city, and someone who actually shows up when things need sorting.
